Demo submission thread.
Each player must record a demo when playing their match. If ANY PLAYER from the opposite team requests your demo you will submit them here, or by PM / e-mail to me.

1. Record a demo:

Open the console by pressing the ^ key (called tilde. the key beneath
ESC)

To start recording type into the console:
/record anynameyoulike

To stop recording type into the console:
/stoprecord

2. Playback a demo:

At first you need to put the demo file in the appropriate folder.

XP -> X:\*YourCOD4Directory*\players\demos

Vista ->
C:\Users\*YourUsername*\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\ProgramFiles
(x86)\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\players\demos
(Vista users need to make sure to turn on *Show Hidden
Files and Folders* in the folder options).

Theres a good tool to playback demos called COD4player offering binds
for slowmo and fastforward etc.

Hey Zeleni,

i ve got a small question:
After i play a match with a friend i found out that a demo for 3 map snd takes about 25 mb.
According to our team i will need to upload 100mb....of course, we will record our matches, but is it possible that we can only upload the demo if anyone(the team we played against) wants it. It would be better cuz my internet sucks and ill take years to upload 100 mb -.-

Well Diya u just have to use a convertor .After u record the demo convert it to .flv format and then u can upload it.Coverted videos are uploaded even faster . ;]

there is no way to covert this files....only way avidemo, and this isnt a solution
so is there any other way?

Well Dyia its impossible to convert the demo file. I ll xplain what u have 2 do from the beginnig. First record the demo .Then copy the demo file in profile directory. After that start Fraps and Call of Duty. In the Call of duty menu type in the console /demo yourdemoname to watch it.While u watch it record the demo with Fraps. Then u can convert the Fraps video and upload it. Thats all ;]

but then you have the problem that the video of frpas laggs like shit. My pc and the pc from diya dont have the power to record it without fraps ... we only have 30fps when we record the demo with fraps so it isnt a good idea! ;D

No sry ... i mean that our pc's dont have the power to record the demo WITH fraps!

I think that u dont quite get me. U watch the demo after the match and record it. U dont use fraps while u play the match.

you record when you play with /record..

if someone requests a demo, you will HAVE to upload it to prove your innocence | or any team member

Hi im [Slak]lame, captain. A guy from R4m today called [SlaK] cheaters while playing utterly fuckin boring team deathmatch so please dont hesitate to ask for demos if u think that i'm a hacker =] We have upcoming cw with R4m 2 and like i said dont hesitate to request my demo ^^ Just pointing it out...
